MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR – Remove & Replace – All Applicable Models
Pull codes, diagnose check engine light. Visually inspect linkage on wastegate. – Fault codes P1950, radiator fan fault, and P0101, mass air flow sensor fault are stored in ECU. – Performed actuator test on engine cooling fans. Found circuit checks good. Cooling stage two failed test. Cooling fans are replaced as a unit. – Checked and found engine vacuum at spec. Checked operation of turbo wastegate – normal. – Checked mass air flow readings at idle and under load. Found mass air flow readings are very low at wide open throttle. Turbo pressure appears normal. – Put mass air flow in fault mode. Found vehicle performance improved. – Recommend replacement of Mass Air Flow sensor.
